Mountain Bike Tours

Born to Ride Bicycle offers mountain bike tours for the novice and experienced riders through the majestic forest trails in Simcoe County.


To help you select the right mountain bike tour for your endurance, we've included the Perceived Rate of Exertion (PRE) for each tour.

Skill Level: must be comfortable cycling on loose gravel, sand, around obstacles, up hills and down steep inclines.

You may encounter any and all of the above, depending on the tour you select.

All our tours have a Tour Terrain Grade listing to help you know what to expect from your tour selection.


Reservations Required.  Minimum 4 participants for a mountain bike tour to go out.

We recommend booking at least 48 hours ahead.  Tour time is round trip back to place of origin.


Groups of 10 or more, check out our Group Adventures for group rates.  We can customize a mountain bike tour for your group's skill and riding level so everyone can enjoy a great time!

Ducks Unlimited
Time: 2 - 2 1/2 hrs PRE 6 - 7.5 Grade 5

This is a great introduction to forest trails and mountainbiking.

Experience the beauty and unique wetlands in one of Central Ontario's majestic forests.

TRAIL HOPPER I
Time: approx 2 hrs
PRE 6 - 9.5 Grade 9

In this multi-terrain forest you will encounter logs, ramps, sharp inclines and loop around the trail for more steep inclines.

A fun ride to challenge your riding skills!

A fun and popular adventure for couples or groups that want a bit of both single track, obstacles and flatter double track trails.

If you are more of an extreme rider, our elite mountain bike series may be for you!


Mountain biking season usually starts mid May or even June (depending on off season weather conditions). We do not recommend riding until the trails are dry and ready! Contact us for trail conditions, if in doubt.



Please note: Mother Nature has created our forests to be hardy, but they are also vulnerable to invasive plants that get brought into them. Any time you are mountain biking on forest trails, please stay on existing trail systems and know that if you have been in areas where invasive plants have invaded, you risk bringing these plant seeds that may stick to your clothes, shoes or bike into the next forest trails you ride!
